Hebei Zhicheng Fine Chemical Technology Co., Ltd began to develop and produce methyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose in the late 1970s. It is one of the earliest enterprises producing nonionic cellulose ether in China. Its products have won the 1978 Science Conference Achievement Award. In 2012, the company expanded its production capacity to produce 30,000 tons of non-ionic cellulose ether production line.
